Happy New Year
My main query is can and how do you register a 1992 Caddy pick up (In which catergory)
Other cars include a 1987 GTI Cabriolet, 1992 1.8GL Golf, 1983 Audi Coupe GT5S, 1993 Audi 80 2ltr, Audi A4 1.8 20 valve,,and what realy has to be the star of the show a 1994 Audi S2 Coupe (230bhp 6 speed) All taxed and tested and all open to offers.
I am at present looking for a tonneau cover in white for my cabrio, so if you have one please get in touch. Oh, and also a mk 1 Golf front bumper.

What do you think folks, a new register, or add them to the cabriolet one perhaps? I doubt there will be many of them….
Cheers,
Drew.

Spent the last couple of weeks pottering around in my new Caddy . It?s a 1992 Diesel model and apart from the brake pipes being replaced with copper its totally as standard and original. Looking at other sites most Caddys have been ground into the dust as work horses or max powered . I intend to keep it original as per the ethos of this site.
I will try and stick some pics up soon.
I would like a register and look forward to bringing it to the next meet and being unique, or I can bring the GTI and it will look just like the other 50+ Mars Reds ones there. 8O

1987 Alpine White 1.8 Clipper Cabriolet
The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

Caddy
Seems Iv'e started something with this Caddy question. Now before we go any further, let me just mention a thing or two about my little truck.
I realise that you are all in favour of restoring classic cars such as GTIs and Cabiolets to their former glory and quite rightly so. Now as for the original Caddy. It never looked right unless it had a ton of sand and 80 breezeblocks in the back, otherwise it looked as if it were standing on tip-toes looking over the wall it's driver had just built.
My Caddy runs it's original 1.6 deisel with a 5 speed box. (Just done 1,100 mile trip over the last two days at an average of 61.3 mpg)
The previous keeper decided to lower it somewhat, 80mm at the front to be exact(I do have the original springs) and to even things out the rear axle was flipped over the springs. Oh! also some old 14" VW alloys were fitted which are for sale with good tyres.
My Caddy attracts favourable attention from young schoolboys to aged Grandmothers.
So before you blackball me from this club, can someone tell me how to post photos so you can all judge for yourselves.
Regards,
Dave.
