new member. saying hello

hello i recently bought a mk1 golf 1600 gti in mars red.

iv always liked the shape and look of the car and managed to find this one for 100 quid!!!!!!  
it was an absolute bargain an cudnt leave it for that.                                                                                                    

my plans are to build a rally car out of it trying to keep it original looking wer i can.

ive put some pics on for people to see as you can see ive already made a bit of a start on it. any tips or comments are very welcome.

practicality won out though.
