New member on the look out!!!!!

Hi everybody!!
                    Can i just say what a fantastic site you have going on.

I am a newly converted Dubber (Converted from the Jap scene!) and am after a Mk1 GTI.

I've done my home work (read all your buying tips, many thanks) but would really appreciate any tips, advice and heads up to a nice 1st  time  Mk1 (break me in gently please)

Have a look in the for sale section of the site theres a few good members cars up for sale, Unless u have 10k to blow on 1 theres a very nice 16v g60d mk1 on ebay

No mods unless its single spotlights and or wheels.

i would say for a mk1 at that price its very very clean and is totaly standered even door cards which is a hard find. think it cant be to bad if it was put in a show room and was made a feature of . from the pics the rust looks worse than it is. I WOULD BUY IT if it was me

the pic of the rusted bit on rear valance can only really be seen if you get to the same level as the bumper. from the looks of things you would be able to get a wire brush to it mask off then just rattle can it and you wouldnt even notice

have a look at the link this i my mk1  check out the before and after of the bonnett on first page it was badly rusted but came up a treat with a wire brush on a grinder
