new member, old car lookin for resto help

Hi, have just registered although have had my mk1 gti1600 x reg for past 8 years tho lots of other cars have come and gone. Have had a good look round the site, which is v.good. I am lookin for some help. Feel it's now time to spend some money and do the old girl up. Engine good on 115k but body/interior and the like all v tired. Still goes like stink and handles like its on rails tho . Not confident of doing much myself so am lookin for guidance on where to go for a respray and the like. Anyone know of a garage in kent (I'm in Sandwich) who could do a complete resto to bring her upto 'new car' standard. Not really interested in 'mods' but perhaps better brakes, better soundproofin and a bit more poke wouldn't go amiss. Just want to give her a new lease of life and kno I will need to spend a few grand.  Any ideas would be grateful.

Have a look in the garages sectionas there is a well recommended on in Kent - can't remember the name.
