New member: -MK1GTI-

Hello everybody,

I come from Holland and are an enthousiastic VW Golf 1 GTI lover. I own a Lhasa-green metallic MK1 GTI from 1983. The car is restaurated in August this year. The km-stand is 112.000. I do not know how many miles that are but it is not much.

The car is completely original. The side stripes are coming up to the car next year when the weather turns better. At the moment I am restaurating Pirelli-rims.

The "kleppendeksel" will be painted black this winter!

Thanks for the reactions! In the Netherlands we have a Golf GTI Club. If there are enough members, than they will start a Golf 1 club just like this site.  8)

The interior is as good as new. I have owned the car since June this year. The car was from an old man who buyed it new in 1983 and has driven it till April this year! This is probably one of the best original Golf MK1 GTI's in the Netherlands with this km-stand  8)

I don't like the Ronals. They are too small. I want the car to be original so I bought myself some Pirelli's

Any one can use any site but you would of thought that VW Golf Mk1 Owners mainly use it as it is a Club site 8)

I think it is really great that you have a club for only Golf MK1. In the Netherlands we don't have "an only" MK1 club (yet 8) )

Can't we open a topic with just one picture of our Golf MK1?    That looks cool to me  8)
