New member mk1 cabby

Hi there, bought my first mk1 2 weeks ago but unfortunatly it failed its m.o.t on severe chassis damage, which is a shame. i spent all day yesterday breaking it, and will be listing all the parts soon. all i need to do now is find one thats in better nic!

unfortunatly is was beyond repair i took it to a friend of mine at vw, which is anoying because otherwise the car was nice! here is a pic

what parts are gone. i have a shell here with a good underside, but the sils are shot, you  =could have had floor pans and stuff. looks real tidy mate, what is the model?

The chasis leg was bent and come away at the front looked like it had been in a crash and been through some dodgy m.o.t's! the garage didnt want to get involved with it so i had no option to break it. As for the model its a clipper cabrio karmann 1.8 carb. At least i know what im looking for when getting a new one!

Unlucky, good on you for keeping on the cars though, many people would leave them.  Good luck witht he search bud.
