Attempting 1.8t caddy conversion

Hi Guys

Had been looking at a mk1 caddy for a few months to drag my enduro bike to events (couldn't deal with a crappy transit!)
So i went and picked up my mk1 caddy a few weeks ago, it looks fairly clean just the paints a bit scabby but very little rust by the looks of things!
I started looking on a few forums and things have quickly got out of hand, it has ended in me buying a 1.8t AGU engine to drop into it.

I have spent hours on the forums looking at build threads putting info together but there's a few points that seem to have conflicting views was wondering if anyone could give me some answers?

1. Can I just buy a kjet fuel pump from a mk1 gti to fuel the engine? And does it just replace the original diesel one and use original fuel lines?

2. I have seen the hydraulic clutch kit from just caddys but quite like the idea of a set of universal pedals anyone ever used these?

3. I am obviously going to upgrade the brakes from what I have read this is what I think I should be using (correct me if im wrong). front 288mm Vectra sri front callipers (bolt straight on) with g60 discs, rear g60 stub axels, discs, carriers and mk4 calliper's(have seen this as a kit on ebay for £80)? 22mm master cylinder and 16v slave cylinder. I want to use braided hoses, will I need a custom set made up to fit these callipers?

I have sourced all the parts I need apart from an intercooler (cant decide if I want to get a front mount one on the outside of the bumper??), getting the loom sorted mid January, engine mounts have been delivered so after I've got my head round these questions (and I've had the head gasket replaced on the Discovery!) I should be ready to go!
I will be taking plenty of pictures and hopefully creating a build thread

Thanks

Jack
