I'm Nick, 18 years old and live in lincolnshire.

Currently drive a Series1 peugeot 106 rallye but im really aching after a nice mk1 golf gti.

Insurance wise is this possible at my age?

Anyway i'll take a look around and see if i can interest myself even further!

I'd get the reg off an advert and put it through an insurance thing like confused.com - then you'll know roughly how much it would cost!

There's a few youngsters on here that have been checking out insurance for various MK1s.

I'm sure people will give you advice, and you could try doing a search and see what you come up with from older posts.
