unfinished project
good things

new chrome trim inc front grille
black diamond rear brakes
rear disc conversion

adj lower and eibach strut braces

jetex exhaustavo  coil over kit
auto style rear lights
crystal front lights
more and more

bad points

no front door cards
rear cobra trimmed seats
running gear not connected
failed g40front brake conversion
16v eng con uncomplete(but engine fully rebuilt)
avos front rubbing on front alloy

so your help is needed in deciding whether to return to std inside or carry on conversions  ie engine and brakes to complete
please feel free to give comments bad or good
as this was to good a car to miss
as was buying mk2 golf gti 16v when found this in old barn  but still getting mk2 16v gti as in excellent cond and minor work needed

You may as well keep it like it is, the seats are a bit OTT but this would depend on whether you need to carry rear passengers. The wheels, lowering badges and grille spoiler are all very fitting, given the 16V conversion. Nice colour!

yes   not a fan of those myself
so they will be coming off
back axle off this week end and cleaned to bare metal  and sprayed black
petrol tank also removed and found full of rust and rubbish
amazed at qualitly of under neath  in immac condition for age
wire brushed all and will re underseal and waxoil
found fuel pump not working   so looking for new one
just all petrol feed and return pipes rotten so will replace with braided type front to rear but will put joiners in at rear of car arear for easier removal in futer

Keep going with the non standard look but keep it subtle.

Standard is good but deep down most of us would probably like a 16v engine with uprated brakes :) .

It is also quite difficult to get a set of interior that is in good enough condition to go with the rest of the car when done.
