new fella from essex and his mk1 cabby

hey my name is paul and im from sunny old essex. for work i am a cleaner at a big shooping centre 3 days a week and on my days off i do bodywork and welding

been into vw's for a while been driving a mk2 golf 1300 aka the Sh*itebox for a while now which i bought with everything totaly nakered so 60mm drop new clutch gearbox brakes webber carb and g60 steels later has proven to be the most reliable fun car ive ever had.

in my workshop i have a 1990 g60 corrado waiting for a 20v turbo she is getting a smooth bay and eventually full respray ect i have a 1968 oldsmobile cutlass a mk2 caddy van waiting for the road and wait for it. a citroen bx haha.

the cabby is a car ive been after for about 8 years or so but everytime it came up my work was crap and i couldnt afford it, but finally this time i had the cash so it was mine.

its a 1600 5 speed that has a few issues like the pooberg carb is up the shoot and the gear linkage needs setting up right but i only paid £500 so al in all im happy.

so after sitting in a garage for nearly 2 years only moving for mot, a quick was and polish later she looks like this.

only this i dont like are the wheels would love some bbs rm's but think im likely to go down the lenso bsx route first.

this is the mk2 golf i use as a daily atm (minus the roofrack now as i dont need to carry ladders)

how she was when i got her

how she is now

the cutlass

the corrado as i got her

thanks for takng time to read any comments are welcome good or bad.

hope to get to no you all

Paul

Welcome to the site mate!!

I'd remove the grille spoiler and wheels bud but thats just me…. obviously you'd need other wheels though or you'll be stuck   .  Your seriously busy… makes me feel bad about neglecting my projects lol.  Might be the kick up the rear I need lol.
