welcome i hope you have as much fun in yours as i do but i hope you don't spend on it as much as i have in the last few weeks ….new gearbox  :cry: if this is your first mk 1 you will love it ,hate it, be confused by it, be proud of it, clean it like no car you have had before(look naff dirty) all in all if your like me who cannot see the day when i will have to sell it. Just bury me in it.

Fortunatly previous owner had gearbox re-cond with a new clutch. Just need to sort the ride height out as she is so heavy to turn, almost impossible to turn right!!

Is the tracking right?

Lowered cars need the tracking sorted out properly otherwise all sorts of issues will ensue.

yeh your right,
Was miles out.
Fitted standard struts with lowered springs, got wheel alignment done and that sorted it, however have to get it done again as they couldn't set the camber up.
Never going back to National Tyres

Can hasn't moved for weeks as never use it but will get it done soon enough
