New but old - Mk1 Jetta

Hi all,

My parents own a Mk1 Jetta 1.3 L and have done since new! My dad bought it for about £4k I think from Pooles VW in Portsmouth.

I used it as my first car when I passed my test at 17. I own Audi & Seat now as my family cars.

My parents are finally getting rid of the Jetta after 31 years, and I am keen to take it off their hands. It is looking a little tatty around the edges, but its pretty much all original (its only ever had a new exhaust, rad and brakes!).

I wanted to ask any club members of good body shops that could offer a good service in the Hampshire area, who dont charge the earth for welding respray etc….

Glad to hear you're gonna give the Jetta some tlc and another good home. It's nice that it will stay within the family for even longer. Piccies are always welcome! I like a nice mk1 Jetta.

yep TBH I couldn't just let them get rid of it - I have many memories of day trips as a child in that car - I grew up with it so it is special. I will post some pics soon.

Not too sure how far MV Developments are from you but they are bloody good and defo worth a chat, ask for Mik. They sorted out my jetta a treat !!!!!

I don't know what photo hosting site you're using, but you may want to change, the images are a tad on the large size - i think it's displaying the images actual size!
