New boy in town!

Hi everyone, i'm new so be easy on me! My first car was a gold mk1 driver 1300 in mint condition, i sold this(stupidly)  after 2 years of frustrating and constant cutting out problems. This was many years ago when i was a skinny spotty youth(1990ish)! I then turned to the dark side and went through fords like toilet paper! I recently saw the light and was offered a mars red 1.3 driver (1983) that had been abused and off road for 2 years. After checking out the body thouroughly and being shocked at the amazing condition, i ripped the sellers arm off at ?325! I have spent around ?200 and she's almost ready for an MOT. I am happy as a pig in **it :mrgreen:  spending time restoring her. I do need certain parts still and am confused as to why it has a K&n filter and lack of the 'spaceship' filter that i remember was on my old one! I think the carb is off a 1.6 or 1.8? Any help/tips would be much appreciated. I would like new front and rear bumpers, clear front indicaters, a front lower spoiler(small, not GTI) and if possible the original carb, airfilter and wires etc! I don't ask for much do i?! :roll:  Anyway, it's nice to be back and i will post pics soon.
