I know what you mean, when I bought my blue one the guy I bought it off actually painted the scalas which was on it in flat black hammerite 8O when I went to see it he was actually commenting on the wheels as if it was a selling point eeeerrrrr yes mate you've done a really good job, what can you do :dontknow:
Wheels are a little tricky really, some people change them constantly which can't be a cheap sport, I'm of the skool of getting what you want n keeping them for a few years

Cabby
Looks a good base. In my opinion, and with a tight budget, i'd be getting the bumper back on and sorting the indicators out to start with then just the basic checks and start using it. You'll then find out the usual niggles that all new cars have and you can then sort these out. As for wheels, like the other posts have said, these are all down to personal choice. For the time being you could get tourself some wet n dry and some rattle cans (silver) and remo ve each wheel for a light sanding and a home make over. They'll look so much better.
Anyway good luck from a fellow gti cabby owner.

Essentially impacts your odo, speedo, engine revs etc
Not sure on what type of wheels they are exactly, but they look alot like rs's to me - could be wrong, has happened in the past
