Settling In
my first mk1
HI all picking up my very first mk1 on saterday,Got a 400 mile drive to get her home from Cornwall so i hope shes worth it.Its done 191 thousand so it must be ready for a rebuild so i was wondering what small changes i can make ie cam maybe gas flow and whats a rebuild going to cost cheers simon

Welcome!
At that mileage the head might need doing but maybe not the bottom end. Cam, gas flowed all good - or could look at a head exchange with TSR or someone like that.

Not sure on re-build etc, mines doen 173k and despite an oil leak pulls liek a train… if it aint broke dont fix it..

Settling In
I agree with Lawsy. Mine clocked over 200,000 when I had one. No leaks still pulled well, no undue noises. If it aint broke............it will soon. (Kiddin)
