My Campaign

Hi.

Have managed to upload a small pic as Avatar. Brought my 84 Campaign out of storage for a quick wash down last weekend and now desperate to get it back on the road but it needs:
rust repairs round the arches
respray
new fuel pump
full service
as a start  :banghead:

It's a fully standard Campaign but with single headlight grill and 9 spokes rather than Pirellis. Should I put a twin grill on it??

Roll on the summer for happy mk1 gti motoring!

Andy,

Great to see you here.  Get that caron the road NOW  :D

Unless you know this car from new - It should have had the twin light grille with fogs and P slots to be a campaign.

Have you had a look at the Campaign Checks on the left?

Cheers

If it is definitely a campaign, pirelli P's and a twin 'fog' lamp grille are the way to go to get it back to original spec.

Most front grilles (all aftermarket ones atleast) are 'driving lamps. The Campaign ones were fog light, much rarer and more difficult to find.

Cheers,

Drew.

Thanks for the comments - it's got the EW chassis number and everything listed on the left except the P's and twin grill. Wasn't sure if these were an extra cost option when new?

I have a 2nd hand twin grille which will be going on - might need some tips on wiring it in though!. Haven't got the cash to spare on p's at the mo!

Welcome AndyF. If car had twin grille before should find the old the old loom and bulb holders behind grille.
