My 1.8 Mk1 Golf GTI CAMPAIGN.
Hello, here is my:
1.8 Mk1 Golf GTI CAMPAIGN.
My standard 1.8 Mk1 Golf Gti CAMPAIGN was produced at the German Wolfsburg factory on the 1st October 1983. I?ve owned the car for around 4 years now having 3 previous owners including the last owner being another Mk1 fanatic. I?ve kept the car completely standard apart from the headunit.
The car has done 120K and still drives and handles beautifully. I have a full file of all previous MOT?s, receipts of any work ever done on the car, tax discs etc? It Now spends it's winter's garaged and is only used in the dry during summer months for shows and the odd cruse in the sun!
1.8 Mk1 Golf GTI CAMPAIGN-HELIOS BLUE.
Original Pirelli P 6Jx14 alloy wheels.
5 speed sports gearbox.
Original fuel cap with a spring loaded cover.
Original twin headlamp grille.
Revised door lock pins.
Wolfsburg Racing car Mats.
Original Leather bound steering wheel.
Factory fit sliding sunroof.

Hey, thanks for all your messages guys!
whatalotafun- Most of the restoration work was done when I first got the
car, I've been maintaining it and finishing off little bits. It has had a re-spray and some back end work. Everything else as far as I can see
looking through the recipts is general wear and tear jobs.
Glad you like it
Hairyarse- Thanks, keeping it cool.

Spudfingers- Yey, glad you like it, ha ha I think i would rather go to hell than sell my beloved Mk1. Yeah unfortunately there is a large rip in the leather on the steering wheel and just did a quick fix with the tape. I was going to look for a new steering wheel unless you have any suggestions of how i would fix it? that would be most appreciated.
ans4r & parker1979- Nice one, thanks!

Crazy Quiff advertises on the left and re-leathers the campaign steering wheels fella!! Going to get mine done at some point hopefully.
It's the only thing not right on your car… seems wrong not to fix it
