I've just joined and pleased with the bottle opener We've (me and Caf my wife) have recently purchased our first MK1, a 5 door mustard number and it's going to be her daily driver for her 30 mile round trip commute during the week and fun stuff at the weekend.
It's had lots of stuff done to it and we're hoping to finish it which is mostly interior trim/panel/carpet etc.
Mechanical wise it's pretty much sorted with a 1.8T BAM engine putting out approx 250 bhp, big front disks on coil overs but thinking of a rear disk set up as the other vehicles we drive are new and the brakes on the Golf are somewhat lacking with that amount of power but we shall check what we have is working ok before we throw £600 on rear brakes.
Anyway I could waffle on all day, here a picture of our new addition!
1983 MK1 Golf four door 1.8T 20V BAM remapped, MK2 dash and loom, TMI interior. daily.
