MK1 Newbie

Hi there,

My name is Nuël Simons from the Netherlands and yesterday I bought my first Golf mk1

A 1979 1.5l automatic LS:





I still have my Rallye golf and a MK2 GTI G60 that I will use as donor for the MK1:




My plans for the MK1:

* Repaint it in a new color.
* Build in my 260bhp G60 motor, brakes & other stuff.
* New chrome bumpers.
* Get him flat on his belly.
* Some nice wheels.


But this will take a while. Hope the build guide that Paul_h
 wrote will help me trough it

Small light mk1, early dash…. that's nice mate… well done  :mrgreen:

How long do you have planned for the conversion?

Thanks, was a lucky find, just payed € 900,- for it.
Hope to get it up and running in 2011.

It's not the red Rallye I'm gonna use as a donor,
I also have a grey 260bhp MK2 GTI G60 that I'll use for that  :wink:
