Mk1 from Leeds....need advise!

I basically want to put a discent sound system in my car. I have been told hundreds of different things….I have a mk1 convertiable golf cabrio, what is the best system please?

Also the best place to get parts….need a set or individual black wing mouldings

I wouldn't go cutting holes in your cards or shelf. I have upgraded front speakers same size there focal. Rears are again same size 6x4  with tweeters.
And I also have a 12inch active vibe sub in the boot.
That's what I find the best

as above really, i would upgrade the fronts and either make a stealth shelf and put 6x9s in or fit 6x4 in the rear, downside with 6x9s in shelf, if you drop the top you cant hear em

Also, one of my trim mouldings has come off, do u know anywhere cheap I can replace it as a new set isn't needed plus it's very expensive
