hi found this when i brought one last year

The ?Christmas Cabrio? was a limited edition
launched at Christmas in 1985 (which is why you
only get them on a 'C' plate 85/86) They only came in
white (to symbolise snow) with white/polished
alloys, white small bumpers & arches with
contrasting blue roof, seats, carpets, roof and all
trimmed up with lots of chrome. VW only made a
limited number of 750 worldwide and that's why you
don't see them very often.

This exact model also appeared in Tom Cruise's
film, 'The Firm' so it's a Hollywood movie star too.
