Looking for a project!!

Hi All,

I have just joined the forum to try and convince my missus that a Mk1 Golf GTi is the way to go.

I am currently on the lookout for a 'reasonably' priced Mk1 Golf that I can get my teeth stuck into. (It doesn't have to be in good condition, a good shell is preferable though). I have never owned a Mk1 before, but have owned 4 Mk2's in various forms over the last few years.

If anyone has any advice on what I should be looking for, I will be eternally grateful.
