Little new newbie.
I was given this website from a lovely person on clubgti who told me come over here and sign up.
I used to own a mk2 polo g40 track car, which i decided to sell up and get some bigger and beater and i come across a mk1 golf cabby (clipper kit one) and we feel in love (me and the car)
Here is my old car (some of you might know it)
I sold her to make way for this new toy
Here are new wheels, and a few extra bits which will be fitted, once she is home from her repairs, she also has clear crossed lamps, smoked fromt indicators.

not often we get a picture of the owner, but thanks. always nice to put a face to a name.
Like the look of your old car, almost like a squat mk1.
Welcome to the club!

Love those arches on the polo. I've got an '87 cabby (1.8 carb) but she's sick at the mo.
Enjoy

Im having standard gti seats back in there as i want it all standard seats wise on the instead after my polo.
Im planning on painting her blue velvet in summer of next year, as there is no point doing it now as it coming close to winter.
the colour of the golf is ok, im not to keen on it, but it was cheap to pick up so i thought it was bargin why not and i feel in love with it like i said.

change to a k&n type air filter, drill your air box, g-dub style. then chk your mixture, you might need to richen it slightly.
dont use 95 ron fuel, use 97 AND buy an octane boosting additive, I personally dont rate redex, try millers vsp
that engine wasnt designed for 95ron was for 98+ give it what it needs
to be honest, i get best performance after an oil change, mine was sat for a few years so maybe thats why i notice it, ive changed it 3 times in the last 5k and gonna do it again nxt week
all the above ?50 worth 3/5 bhp imho

When she gets home to me, she gets a new oil change again, as i will use semi systhic (sp) oil, gearbox oil change.
And ill drilll the worm thing its called, if im right, and when you say more cold air feed, can you explain a little more?
Is it me, but all the gears in the cabby seem to be to the left?

But you dont need to as its on track so 120 mph was more then enough.
