Just got myself a Mk1 Cab...

Hi all, just got myself a MK1 Cab. Ive been after one for a while and one came up at the right price so it had to be bought. Its by no means the best example and the pictures to follow do it more justice than its worth really.

Needs a bit of TLC to bring it upto scratch, however Im thinking of stripping it right down and painting a different colour.

hello and welcome, i'd keep it white and just change the wheels looks great as it is.

Like I said the pics make it look better than it actually is.  

get some white wheels on there!!!!! if the KKK is the look your going for lol   doesnt look too bad fella!!

What are the problems with the bodywork?  From the pics you post doesn't look too bad, paint looks a bit flat but thats not too bad a job too sort.

Got a few odd dents n dings here and there, the bonnet needs replacing as thats beyond repair. Not the actual paint but the amount of dents in it, near and around the filler cap and on the arch is some strange black fading going on that I cant get rid of. Back bumper has a small scrape on it also.

I have a white floppy top too, was out in the sunshine today with the roof down….. it's great.

Ive decided for the time being I will repair the panels and give it a fresh coat of white, over winter I will strip it completly and it will undergo a full restoration.
