Hi Citigolf,
nice clean citi fella, how much you get it for?
Heres mine on a 97 P plate fella
As regards to engine it is a GY code engine, 1.6 block even thou it's a 1.3, should be fitted with a keihin carb manual choke.
Any parts you need from dealer etc ask for from a 1.5 mk1, all the same basically, apart from emissions and timing.
The front suspension is also different, on the citi's the shock and leg are as one instead of separate like on the orignal mk1's.
Also the front front panel is different, you wouldn't be able to fit an older mk1 grill to it for example.
Apart from that same cars and a lot of fun.
Also do you have some running problems during the cold and wet days? if you look at the air filter you will see it has 1 inlet, this is cold only to the carb, best modifiying it to get warm air to the carb as especially during the cold season the carb gets whats called carb freeze and can be tempermental.
Got any pics of your engine?
If you want to know the history of the car i.e. why they used that type of block, a good man called BERT as a minter of an example, sure he will turn up soon.
Any help you need in the near future, dont hesitate to ask fella, if i cant, Bert can
Best wishes
Pete
