Hi all
Just thought i would introduce my self. I recently bought a 1983 black mk1 golf gti from a forum member off here, that needs a fair bit of tlc, so im sure this forum & its users will come in very handy in the close & long term future.
My first question is, where is the best place to sorce a good quality, full cylinder head gasket kit from, as i plan to do things properly first time & hope only to do things once.
Cheers Paul.

Thanks for joining Richie and welcome to the club  Check VW dealer too for price of the gasket, it's the sort of part I would go for OEM if price not silly

This is the only pic i have of it at the moment with the bumper & grill off
& the reason the bumper is off is to gain better access around the engine bay as i bought the car with the following problem

Yep, i was told it had a respray not that long ago but theres a few places around the car that im not 100% happy with so it will more than likely get another respay once ive restored the rest of the car upto the standard that im hopefully gona achieve.
