Is this car worth considering for rebuild
Not sure if I have the hang of uploading pictures yet but I'll try.
Thanks for all and any info, i don't even know where to start if it is worth starting. As i said its a gift so have to consider it. Believe it or not this car was a daily runner until it was parked 6 years ago.

Start by getting the front right wheel on, making sure its unseized, then get it on hard standing, power wash it, then look at the typical rust areas - A pillar corners, rear axle support area, sills, spare wheel well, front panel, rear valence. I can see the front right wing and door need replacement (or maybe extensive patching for the door).

Any Golf is worth saving IMO so yes, but and it's a big but it depends on you and specifically time and £££ and your desire to see it back on the road.
It's difficult to say as others have said without seeing the whole car though.
Good luck with it and let us know what you decide to do.

If engine runs and rot is only front wings and the odd door, these are bolt on/off replacements so relative easy fix. If rot extends to sills, rear axle mounts, valances, inner wings etc then it debatable whether it would be worth it.
