hey folks,
thanks for the welcome!
I dont have to do an awful lot to get on the road.It was origionally owned by some old lady so it was well looked after and there is only 79,000 miles on it. I just need to get origional bumpers for the golf, a new front windscreen cause my da cracked it and i would also love to get new steel wheels. I have the origional wheel caps but they arent in great condition so would like new ones if thats possible. :?

Welcome matey!

I learnt to drive in a Paragas Blue Formel E some years ago now. I wrote it off soon after by hitting some mud on a country road

Even though I rolled it, I think the body strength saved my life (and my friends).

Post some pics when you can, might bring back some memories  :boohoo:

Cheers

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I am just wondering, does your Formel E still cut its engine at traffic lights, etc and then start the car when the clutch is dipped? That must be really annoying, especially, now the car is 22 years old and its not quite the same at starting - can the feature be switched off? Or maybe a previous owner has disabled it??

I think you are thinking of the Mk3 Ecomatic Paul, the stop-start feature was not fitted to the Formel E.

I am thinking of the Mk1 C formel E....I definitely remember reading about this feature in What Car?

Wasn't a feature on my Dad's one. I remember it as an option for some other countries, so maybe the mag tested a non-UK press car.

my mum and dads old polo formula e ( 1985 ) used to cut the engine at the lights and would restart again when ready to go. i think it worked on a timmer if the throttle wasn't pushed for a while. It ended up being disconected as it took a while to start and always looked like you stalled
