I need help buying a Mark 1 Campaign

Hi all, one of my first cars was a red campaign and since then ive owned over 100 cars but none have given me as a good a memory as my mk 1. So its got to the point where i must find myself another. I have been looking on all the mk1 sites for the last 6 months but nothing has come up thats good enough. I notice the campaign register has a few concours ones on it and want to know how to get intouch with the owners to see if they would sell their cars.

Is this the right way of going about finding a mint one?

Hi mate and welcome!

When you say you've looked on the Campaign Register, where do you mean as thats us!! (Or what we used to be before we became the MK1 Golf Owners Club!)

Check out our classifieds as there are some good examples about - post a wanted ad. Check out our buying guides if you need a refresher and ask any questions you like in the forum. Hopefully we can all steer you in the right direction!

Also wroth trying;

http://www.wagenwheels.co.uk/cars_for_sale.htm in Southampton plus Volksdragon in North Wales. Web site is STILL not functional but thye have a good reputation for having good quality cars.

Keep us posted how you get on.

Cheers
Andy

Thanks Andy, yes ive left my details with Wagen Wheels a few months back but theyve had nothing for me. I will try and post a wanted add and see what happens. Have you got a Mk1 Red Campaign then? For a mint one what do you think i should expect to pay?

Yep, I got a Mars Red Macpaign. Not mint though! Here she is;

Ref pricing, ?3-?4k would be you a very tidy example. Some go for much more on ebay but don't pay too much!! Here is a price guide to help you.

Keep us posted how you get on.

Web site is STILL not functional

Bit of a legend that website, it's been 'coming soon' for about 6 years! :lol:

My Campaign looks like this…

It's not quite mint, but not far off. I have it insured for ?4000, but I think you could get something similar for ?3000 upwards.

Cheers,

Drew.
