I am looking for a Golf Mk1 Model Listing?

Hi All….

The other day I stumbled across a Gof Mk1 Model & Valuations Listing depending on its condition and what model it was…
I can't remember if it was on this site or I came across it on Google etc.
Does anyone have or know where I can locate such a thing again?

I have a 'German 76 1.1 L and not sure what made it different to others models at the time?? I am new to the Mk1 scene so am very intrigued to find out all I can on my 'new' project.

Cheers :?)

PHOTOS OF MY 'NEW' MK1 GOLF ADDED. (STAGE 1)

Hi Lawsy/All,

Thanks for the welcome. :?)
This is my first mk1 project as I have a vast history in mk2's, but am going back to the very original…

I have posted some photos below… It isn't a 'swantail' sadly. She was registered on 08.03.1976 with the Belgian number plate of SGM947, so I guess she was made in late '75-Early'76.

It is 100% a German/Belgium left hand drive Mk1 Golf "L" 1085cc model, with only 11'420 klm on the clock! And has some funky interior & exterior bits that you will see in the pix… For Example the "Bug" Wolfsburg Steering wheel and chrome front light lids/covers and the keys come in a little brown leather pouch with VW/Audio info embossed into it! (I am not sure if any of this kind of stuff is 'standard' for old skool mk1's?)

I am not looking to sell her at all as want to hit a few shows with the old girl this year (RTTS) once I have got her back to former glory, but would anyone know what the value of a mk1 like this might be? I gave ?1'500 for her as she stands, but don't know much about Mk1's just yet as I said…  A few people on other Forums on the site have said I have got myself a really good deal and a little Gem which is always good to hear?! =?)

The mk1 does have some bits of rust here and there that needs to be sorted out, as she was brought over to the UK a few years ago I understand, but was just left to rot in a garden for years with no cover!!
I think a bit of restoration with a blow over same colour spary and lowered with some nice rims (any ideas?) and she will look top-draw?!  As you can see the inside of the old girl is still like new - But I think I need to get the front seats restretched to fix the sagging on the front seats!
Let me know what you think…
