howdy folks

hi im al from kirkby in ashfield (nottingham) and i own a mk1 1.1 which i bought around 6 months ago as a project it was perfectly fine wheni bought it just wasnt quite to my taste so i set about doing a few changes then after around 3 months i must admit i lost intreste and sold it to my brother who then owned it for around 2 months but did nothing to it but did buy some bits for it

well after far to long i thought its time i booked a driving test and its the end of this month so me being me got all excited and bought the golf back when i realised how much of a mastake it was to sell it so the re-build has startd again and i thought this would be a great place to seek advice and tips

wont put any pics up yet mate as the only pics i have arent very goood and the car looks abit gay to be fair but bare with me a week or so and should be something like    

yeah 1.1's are the way forwards mate (insurance wise anywayz   )

hello, glad to hear of someone local. i'm in chesterfield , have a look on forum at pictures of 1st notts derbys meet. ok so only 3 at moment but would be good to see you at next meet. do you know any other local mk1's ? 8)

yes mate if im sorted and the car is runnin then il be there not a problem     

sorry dont know any othet guys with mk1's  :cry:  but on the other hand it must mean we are reallly special
