Howdy can anyone help??

hey people

Im new to the site so nice to meet you all!!

I own a 1988 golf gti 8v cabriolet and im thinking of putting a 16v in it. Ive already got the recon engine sorted but Im wondering if I need to change anything else immediately ie driveshafts and fuel lines??

i would really appreciate anyones advice and tips if they've got any!!

If you're using the same gearbox then driveshafts will be okay. If you use the 16V box (no reason to, though, its no better than the one you currently have!) it will have 100mm CV joint flanges on it, but you'll 95% sure find your car has this too, being a later cabby.

The fuel lines are good, just need relocating to the other side, they'll be ever so slightly too long but this is a non-issue (just curve them round etc).
