How we doing?

Hello all I'm Ashley, I'm 27, I'm from West Midlands (near Merry Hill shopping centre) and I'm a mechanic by trade. I've owned my mk1 for about 4 years and finally I got round to fitting a 20v turbo engine over christmas and I have to say I have driven some quick exotic cars and none of them make me smile like the mk1 it is insane, the torque steer is incredible - highly recommend this conversion to anyone. Hopefully I can be of help to some of you and I look forward to meeting some of you as you all seem a friendly bunch from looking through the forums. Thank you for reading this I hope I havent bored you too much I'm now off for an exploration of your forum

I wish my 20v conversion was finished as quick as you did yours lol Mine's been off the road for nearly 5 years!! shocking!

I work for a company called Central Youth Theater in Wolverhampton. We are producing a comedy short based around the life of a Morris Traveller and its owner. The students on the film course are aged 10-19 and are working with professional script editors, cameraman and producers to bring the project together.

Part of my role is to source locations and props. I am currently looking for a GTI type car from the 90s and would like a Golf GTI really. We are shooting in Wolverhampton and the provisional date would be the 17th February.   

These cars would not be driven they are for background use only and if they were driven the owners would do this.

This short 9 minute feature will be shown at the Lighthouse in Wolverhampton on the 11th March 2012. The project is funded by First Light and is part of the British Film Institute.

I was hoping you would be interested in it or if you knew if there was a meet I could get to to see if anyone was interested.
