How do guys?

Newbie checking in. Although i've been a member since 2009 i haven't ever posted on here.
I am just about to start building a Golf MK1 Track car from a 1.3 driver and thought i'd best introduce myself as i am sure to be asking loads of q's in the next few months!

Likewise if any of you guys need bodywork advice give me a shout as i manage a rather large shop in Lincolnshire and have been a painter in the trade for 15 years.

No way

I was on page 18 of your build and it has stopped me as I've exceeded my views as a non member.

What a job mate, your far too talented IMO ;-)

The van looks amazing, even though I haven't seen the finished van.

Glad you enjoyed the read Chris, it was a labour of love but aren't most VW builds

I will be putting just as much love into the MK1 track car, so it should be a good build.

Hi

Welcome to the Mk1 Golf Owners Club, enjoy your stay and feel free to browse around the forum and ask any questions you may have, we are all a friendly bunch, and will try and help where we can : - )

As a club we encourage people to meet up, make new friends and share experiences and knowledge we have all had with our golfs etc , so if that's your sort of thing keep an eye on the Regional and National pages below, where there will be details of meets in and around your location. Also details of who your Regional Host is or are, feel free to contact them about meets in your area also.

Cheers fellas.

The car was dropped off to work yesterday dinnertime!

Started the new build tonight! Well started seeing what needs chopping out and replacing

The car isn't as solid as it would seem, but its not as bad as soon i've seen.

Should be starting the build thread very soon………
