Hi

Hi, new guy to the site from a very snowy Cotswolds !

I am currently building a Mk1 with a rear engined 2.7 bi turbo S4 Audi sitting in there. I am about 80% of the way there now. Engine in and running, but needs mapping. Suspension is all Porsche as are alloys. Interior is all my own design. air conditioning and heating is Seat. I have tried to do everthing myself, ie make a full roll cage, build interior, etc. Its been alot of fun. I had hoped to have it ready to take to Wothersee this May, but I found I was beginning to rush it to get it finished and thats something I didnt want to do. So:

That brings me on to Golf number two. I have bought a fully Zender bodied Mk1 Hellous blue car. It was done by GTI engineering in 1983, then used by the same chap untill it changed hands in 1997 when it was put into a garage and stored untill late 2009. Had to have the fuel tank, lines and pump changed and then it passed its MOT first time. Boy was I supprissed. Now I want to put as many miles on it as possbile before my first trip to Austria in May.

Is any one else going to Worthersee this year. I am going to leave around the 6th May. take two days to get there, take in the end of the first week and the beginning of the second and then come home on the weekend of the 15th or 16th . Again taking two days to get home. May be leave alittle earlier and do a pass or two and then a lap of the ring.

Looking forward to meeting you all at the shows. Anyone from Glos. area going to the Dub show in Telford? I'l be going. Hopefully see some of you soon.
