hi

My name is Jamie, obviously new here but not new to forums. I thought id join this one as me and my dad went halves on buying a Mk1 Golf convertible. Its a 1.6 GLS (i think) but the previous owner put GTI badging all over it etc.
Im knowledgeable of cars and engines but only in the basics to tell the truth.
Im soon to start college as a Marine engineer NVQ level 1&2.
Id like to be here as often as i can but using the internet in a library has set backs :)
I hope that wasnt too much to start with?

Hi and welcome!
Sounds like a cracking dad, helping to buy a car for you.    Any photos of it for us to look at? You'll find plenty of advice in the technical sections if you're doing any work to it…got any work planned?

Welcome along Jamie.

Ask away with any questions that you may have. Don't forget the FAQ's at the bottom and the techy stuff on the left (don't ask me, I only polish!!!)
