Hi, my names mike, from birmingham.

I'm looking to buy myself a mk1 gti in the near future. I am into minis mostly (have 3) but i have decided to sell 2 of them an buy myself a nice gti.

Just wondered how much i would be looking at spending a on a nice mk1 gti?

Welcome to the site Mike!

It depends how tidy you want your GTi.  Prices can be anyting from ?100 for a non-runner to ?4,500+ for one in pristine condition.  Have a look on the homepage as there is a link to the price guide on the right hand side which should give you a rough indication.  Alternatively, have a look in the for sale section to get an idea of quality v. price.  If you've got some mechanical knowledge, its always worth buying a slightly tatty looking tin top and doing it up yourself - that way you can custom it to your own tastes.
