Hi! Semos from Portugal!

Hi there people!

I am Arcanjo Silva from Portugal (sorry about my bad english), moderator from the awesome portuguese forum dedicated only to German Style, www.germanbrutal.pt.vu , and i found this forum in google with many precious infos, so i decided to register…

Here's a piece of my story with mk1's…

when i was about 12 years old, i started seeing those wonderfull cabrios from all europe getting to vacations here in portugal…and those who kept my attentions were the mk1s…

with 18years, i had my first car, a Opel Corsa_a 1.4i (Nova), and the passion for old cars start getting bigger and bigger…until the day i found my mk1 cabrio…

Really rusty, engine dead, interior and roof messed up…but the passion for it was harder than me, and i bought it.

after love, love, love ops: , and a pretty big spend of money , here it is:



Now it's missing some engine progress (G60 Conversion), and i'm searching all this forum with hope to find it :twisted:

yeah, i know, the colour looks fine, but during the process of rebuild/painting, there was a huge indecision about it…

Tian, the front spoiler is specific for mk1 cabrio karmann, it's a rieger spoiler, i spent 3 months and a lot of money to get it!

mk1jim, why not? nex yoear i have to rebuild the entire roof, and i will change the colour of it

daz1971, portugal is not as big as GreatBritain, but i live 500km away from Albufeira! I'm from aveiro/vagos.

Nice looking cab, you should start off a project thread with all the work you've done.  Some decent cars on your forum too, just been looking at the pics.

Nice car    does you side trim stop short?? Or is that just me and mine is too long lol (have that problem all the time lol)  :wink:

If you look at the mk1 at the top (the white winter 09 one ^^^) it runs very close to the headlight your does not………



Maybe its on upside down and that is the rear piece who knows????
