Hi newbie here.....wooooo

hi everyone i am new to the site and new to mk1 scene..woo hoo... I finally got my hands on a white mk1 gti karman covertible on a f reg it is a car from when i was young i wanted to own. Its not in bad condition but not sure what to do? Go for a full restore now or just get it on the road first and enjoy it a bit. The ride home was a joy after buying it and i was told it had been in the garage sitting for 3 years? Amazing it starts first time every time...Would love to meet someone in east london area to talk and get some tips or advice..

i am going to do that now..first thing i need to do is get a few things sorted for mot and new brakes they are terrible. Been out cleaning it this morning under the wheel arches and bit of engine bay just trying to see if i can find rust patches anywhere. Cant wait to crack on with this...

Been out there again today and went to strip the front brakes down so i could replace everything…..one problem wheel was stuck to disc and hub cant get it off….LOL  This is my first joy of buying a car that has sat for 3 years so wish me luck….i could just hit it with a club hammer but dont want to damage the rim so have wd40 overnight.
