HI NEWBIE HERE!

Hey im chicky i will admit i currently dont own a mk1 anymore but used to have one as me first car it was just a mars red 1.1 golf c which i bought for 80 quid an was well basically just use for a scrappy but got it back on the road meself an resprayed the whole car, now ive seen a few about an want to get another one as regret gettin rid of mine any tips on findin a cheap one that maybe i can restore ? an now wat to look out for

And when buying a mk1 look out for the sills rear arches inner wings scuttle area and floors.
What sort of money do you have to spend as a project costs  loads to get it to the way you want it

lol i will admit at the moment i have nothin which aint a great start seen a mk1 gti for sale not too long ago for 150 quid which would have been perfect but for some reason dint get it if i could id love to find one like me first you know cheap as chips in need of work

the question is how much work are you willing to take on?

body an engine work im cool with welding i can do but gotta find a welder lol as long as it ran even rough an the bodywork wont just a pile of rust on the ground should be fine
