Hi! Just brought my dream car!

Hello to everyone!
My name is Chez and I'm 22. I've just brought my first 1990 mk1 clipper cabby and i'm well chuffed! Its a barn find and got her proper cheap for the condition. Its white with a black roof, original wheels interior etc, which is great because i want to keep it looking as standard as possible. Very minimal rust and no rips in the hood, 4months tax, new MOT and all for under ?500! I live on the Isle Of Wight so barn finds come up pretty often but I'm well chuffed! Island Reg as well. Been looking around the owners sites as my technical/mechanical knowledge isn't fantastic but this looks like the best site so far! I'll get some photos up as soon as I've cleaned it up a bit.

Got a mate in the IOW (uni) and he said he had nver seen a mk1 golf on IOW……lol he's not that bright though and he has webbed hands   Is it true you have like 200ft of dual carrige way and thats it??  8O  lol Welcome to the site any how!
About the reginal meets is there anyone on pompy who can go to the coast and wave to him? lol

yeah it is true we only have a very small dual carriageway and they only built it so you could take driving lessons and tests without going to the mainland!
   
I dont mind if im the only one with a mk1 golf but i know thats a lie coz there is quite a few over here.
