Hi im new!

Just thought i'd say hi folks :)

New to the site, just came across a mk1 gti in black, in good condition, but with out an engine, so its now my little project.

i work for a vw audi garage up in scotland, so i can get parts quite cheap ( well what parts that are still availible from vw :)) hopefully i can learn alot more from you guys n gals. and keep you all updated on my progress.

i have most the interior, all glass apart from windcreen, etc for the gti.
it will give me something to do during the winter months.

hi mate and massive mk1 welcome

the saxo is pretty tidy unlike most but dump it when ya tintop is finished
looks like quite a project to get done so a huge good luck and keep at it
this looks like project beginning , so how do you plan it to look at the end ? modified or original
everyone on here is supa nice and really helpful , ive had some pricless advice from these guys , so just ask um if ya get stuck or if you need anything .

thanks for that smiffie, yeh im a euro style addict now so im going to be goin euro on her, deep rims like the ones on my saxo, the engine well i'll have to find one first, looking into a 1.8t conversion, my mechanic mates at work, know what they are doing so will help do the conversion. i will just have to see what engine i come across. if i find a decent mk1 gti engine i mite just stick it in. to try and keep some of it original :)
