Hello,
I have recently purchased (at a very god price) a MK1 Karmen Cabrio1.8

I am new to the VW scene as I have never owned one before, my daily driver is a mitsi 4x4.  

The Golf came up at the right price and was too good to turn down, she also comes with a new hood.

having never had one before, I am wondering what I need to look out for (apart from thieving muppets) in ordero keep the Golf happy.

any advice will be noted as I intend to keep and show as original.

Check out the buyers guide on the home page - although you've bought some good tips in there! There's also a pdf lurking somewhere (do a search :wink: ) about changing the hood.
