hi guys, noobie here

i am on various VAG forums, but this is the first MK1 forum i have joined, i own a mk2 but when i have finished it i plan to get a mk1, i think they are such a beautiful car and a real icon.

any way, my name is Miggs, or at least thats what my mates call me, and i look forward to chatting to some of you guys and gals sometime

Hi and welcome to te site bin the 2 and get a 1 you know it makes sense  

well the thing is i have an ABF head and block in the 2 with KR fueling, i really want to transfer the engine into a MK1 but i need the money from selling the 2 to get the 1 so it's a tricky situation, i will sort it though, also the 1 needs to be a 5dr as the missus wont get in a 3 dr with the kids as she feels it is less safe in the event of an accident.

do they do a retro fit pas rack for the mk1?

No MK1's came with Power Steer in RHD.

I seen one on ebay the other day which was bespoke and went for ?520.

I think you can fit one off a Polo but I've not looked into it far enough to know the ins and outs.

To be honest it's soemthing you get used to very quickly anyways, I love how stiff the steering is when going around corners fast, you can really feel the grip

yeh i think you have more feel from non pas tbh, but she hates parking without it, bloody women lol

tell her women can't park anyways wont matter if she has power steering or not.. followed by some swift avasive action from flying objects maybe?
