Hi from Suffolk

Hello to everyone, I'm new to this site but I've been around VW's for years, I currently own two mk1 golfs, a 3 door 1.1c which I bought 6 years ago as my son's first car, hoping that he would move on to other vw's and I would get it and that's exactly what happened.
My second mk1 is a 1.5gl auto, purchased very recently as a project and not sure yet what to do with it.
I also have a very rare mk2 Jetta 1.8GTI and a 1970 baywindow tintop.
I live close to Ipswich near the border with Essex, i'm 52 years of age and have been playing around with vw's for around 20 years.
I'm more into subtle modifications or leaving standard than all out conversions, having said that I do like the work done to modify mk1's with big engines and slammed suspension, any mk1 is a good mk1 after all it's just not what I would do.

I’m just down the road in Ipswich on the way to Woodbridge welcome on board sir, you’ll find a great bunch of people on here with plenty of knowledge but it sounds like you have probably got plenty of your own with such a fine collection.
