Hiya mate check the regional section for an Irish meet as I think they get together once a month but not sure.  Good to have you aboard mate.  Personally I like the old mini's but they're hard to get in good condition aye.  Yours looks ace… can't you keep it in storage and get the cabby too?  Seems a shame to get rid of it especially as it's a year older than me  8O .  Bit of history there… not that I'm trying to tell you not to get a mk1 as they are awesome.

Well in that case mate I wish you luck… also check the for sale section on here for a cabby because if it's from a member with lots of posts it's likely they've cherished it.

Hi SimonEire,

There was a nice cabrio on vagdrivers a while back and there is a nice one on donedeal with a G60 but it's 5k. Think there was one on Club GTI NI too.

There are meets in most parts of the country, last one I was at was in Walkinstown on Tuesday. Have a look on vagdrivers.net you'll see them. Not MKI specific as we don't have enough but a very sound bunch of lads.

To give you a bit of an Idea, there are 30+ lads from Kildare alone that I know of going to Inters this year, in everything from MKI's to S4's to 4mothion Bora to 20V turbo 4motion Golf.

Best of of luck on your MKI search.

thanks mate ,hopefully the mini will go fairly quickly, i have my eye on a couple on here so we'll see what happens, i like the cabrio that kev/blzeedub has and its within the price range but unfortunately its automatic and then theres the duty to be paid, the hunt continues…

might see you at the next walkinstown meet

Hi and welcome to the site.  :D

There is one for sale in Londonderry at the minute, although his price seems a bit enthusiastic:

i think so too, full folder of history, original bill of sale and over £10,000 in receipts over the years, and the ironic thing is this car wasnt even for sale, but after a few calls and emailed pics along with me taking the car for an hour long hard drive ,the deal was done, im just waiting for the money to hop from 1 account to the other then i can collect and enjoy, i've also to collect a set of polished casteletts which i may paint the centres gloss black with polished lip and porsche centres……we'll see….
