Hi Everyone!
Hi I'm Terry and I'm from Hindhead in Surrey. I've been browisng this forum for ages and it's given me the inspriation to finally bring my 1984 Golf GTI Cabriolet out of storage.
It's in need of a bit of restoration so hopefully you guys can help me along when I get stuck
Anyway, here's a pic of it when i brought it home the other day!

Thanks for all the positive comments!! 8)
I will start up a project thread when I get going, to keep track of my progress on it.
It has some rust at the bottom of the rear panel and on both doors. It will also need a pair of new front wings, as these are also pretty rusty round the wheel arches.
I've still got to take the rear wheel arch covers off to see what's lurking behind
On the plus side, the sills and underside seem pretty solid, and I can't see any rust on the inner arches.
Engine wise it just needs a good service, still runs pretty good for 152K. Or I might chuck in a 2L 16v lump that's been sat in my shed a while…
