i'm Jim, ive been running mk2's for a while now but have seen the light and have purchased my first mk1!!

its a 5 door model that i had a bit of a bargain with on ebay. all prep work was already done to a high standard and ready for paint!!

had some ideas after going to ed38 with some members from here.

i will add pics of the project soon.

Now i have a small issue/concern/question to mods….

i bought a brand new carpet from a member on here…it arrived this morning….it was a headliner and sound deadening material!! im currently waiting for a reply after my pm's etc.

Mods your reccomendations please?

Hi Jim, sorry to hear about the problems.

I looked at the thead selling the carpet, your either right about the seller getting things mixed up in the post or he never checked the contents of the box before selling them and just assumed the carpet set was in the box  :dontknow:

All you can do is contact the seller and try and resolve it, hope it gets sorted quickly.

the ad says they paid £150 which would equate to a carpet set. the contents of that box equals a headliner and sound deadening, ive looked on the newton website, and that equates to approx £95 so you would think they would have realised!!

The big giveaway to me was the size of the box….or lack of size!!
