Hi all...

Morning everyone, how's things with you all? I've just joined the Mk1 club. I'm going to have a look at a big bumper '88 cab tomorrow… and I've got every intention to drive away in it!

I'm from the oxfordshire area, does anyone have any ideas about VW meets around the county?

Also, I'm after a bit of info (if I may pick your brains)… I'm new to the VW world, but always wanted a Mk1, and tomorrow I've got my chance… BUT… I've been doing a bit of research about the cabrio I'm going to look at tomorrow, does anyone have any ideas if parts are available? I've been looking around and alot of the Mk1 products only go up to '84. I read on one site that the later cabs had there floor plan changed in favour of the scirocco layout? Can anyone please shed any light on this? And any other information you could give me for that matter please?

Welcome, I think your nearest Mk1oc meet would be the Berks meet see below.  
Another VW meet that would be close to you would be the Dubclub Oxford but I'm not sure where the meet now.

Thanks, it's good to know there is support here, I'm new to the whole Mk1 world, and a little bit worried about whether I'm going to bite off more than I can chew… I hope not, I really want a project!
