hi everyone ive just got myself a mk1 gti 1.6 injection in need of a full restoration. i dont know much about my golfs so ill be needing all the help i can get.

thankfully the golf i got is completly standard and the bloke i got it off had owned it since 1986. it had been sitting on his driveway for 10 years without moving and after driving past it for the last two years i desided to go and knock on the door and ask if i could have it to restore.

he said i could have it on the conditions that i restore it and not strip it for parts.

ill try and get some pictures up so i can give you and idea of the work i have got to do
